01The problem

Remove sensitive data before sharing.

Contracts, payslips, and resumes contain personal information. Before sharing these files or using them with AI, this data must be removed to protect privacy. Redactic automates this process to avoid slow and error-prone manual redaction. You can black out the data permanently for full anonymization, or replace it with reversible placeholders (pseudonymization) so the original information can be restored whenever you need it again.

Frequently asked questions.

Are my documents saved?+

No. Document and result stay only in encrypted memory for a few minutes, then they are deleted. No database, no logs, no disk.

Can I anonymize too, not just mask?+

Yes. You have two ways: pseudonymize (mask, use the AI, then restore) or anonymize (black out permanently, to share). Choose for each document.

Do I have to use your AI?+

No. Run the AI task inside Redactic, or copy the masked text and use it wherever you like. Either way the real data comes back only in your browser.

Does the AI use my data to train its models?+

No. What reaches the AI is already masked, and we keep data collection switched off, so your text is never used to train any model. If you prefer, you can take the masked text and use it with your own AI.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?+

Yes. It recognizes the text in scans and images, masks it and, if you only want to share, blacks it out directly on the page.

Where is the data processed?+

In Europe, on European infrastructure. It is a deliberate choice.

How much does an AI answer cost in credits?+

It depends on how long the document is. You can always see how many credits you have left. If they run out, you buy a pack whenever you want, or use your own AI on the masked text without spending credits.

Who is the data controller, you or me?+

You are. We act as the data processor and sign the data processing agreement automatically when you subscribe. The legal basis and the notice to the people in your documents stay with you, as the controller.

Is it legally compliant?+

Redactic reduces the data you expose to the AI. The legal basis and the notice to data subjects remain your responsibility, as the data controller.
